WEDDING
The wedding of Olive Guest and Fergal Whelan took place on Saturday 3rd November in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Terryglass. Olive is the daughter on Nuala and the late Jim Guest, Sheelrudderagh, Terryglass and Fergal is the son of Nancy and Nick Whelan, Co. Waterford. The marriage ceremony was conducted by Fr. Michael Cooney P.P. assisted by Fr. John Joe Duffy from Donegal. Musical accompaniment for the service was provided by Kevin Carroll and Rachael Goode and Marie Whelan and Ian O’Cathain.
Olive’s bridesmaids were her friends Carmel and Olive Fogarty and her matron-of-honour was friend Michelle O’Dowd. Fergal’s best-man was friend, Donagh Lennon, his grooms-men were, cousin, Brian Hennessy and friend Liam Lennon and the page-boy was Conor Guest the bride’s nephew. After receiving congratulations and good wishes from their families and many guests, everyone enjoyed a beautiful reception at The Lakeside Hotel, Killaloe. The honeymoon was spent in Mexico and we wish Olive and Fergal a long and happy life together,

KILBARRON OPERATION TRANSFORMATION
Kilbarron Operation Transformation group will host a ‘Social Night’ in Hannigan’s on Saturday 8th December at 9.30pm. There will be music and a raffle on the night and all proceeds will go to Irish Cancer Research. All support greatly appreciated.

TERRYGLASS ICA
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday 5th December at 8pm and our President, Noi, will be providing the supper.

GOOD WISHES

2012 CHRISTMAS TREE OF REMEMBRANCE
If you like to remember a loved one by making a donation to North Tipperary Hospice Movement you can do so by placing a contribution in the special envelopes available in the local shops and pubs. A tree will be placed in the Court House, Nenagh, and will be lit at 4.30pm on Saturday 8th December. If you would like a light to shine for your loved one please put the name of the person or family you wish to be remembered on the envelope with your donation. KILBARRON OLD CEMETERY
Subscriptions for upkeep and maintenance are now due and may be paid to Michael Molamphy (Jnr.) or Christy Cormican.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC CLASSES
Traditional Music Classes have resumed in Terryglass Hall on Thursdays. Instruments include the fiddle, flute and tin whistle. Beginners and improvers of all ages are welcome. For more details contact John on 087 2869269.

PILATES CLASSES
Pilates Classes with Geri have resumed on Thursdays, in Kilbarron Hall at 8pm. Beginners always welcome.

COMMUNITY ALERT
Firstly can we all keep an eye on our elderly neighbours now that the weather is getting colder and enquire if there is anything they need.
The ‘Tip of the Week’ is – ‘Fire Prevention Hints’. Always place a spark guard in front of an open fire and keep the area around the fireplace free of combustible items. Don’t air clothes in front of the fire and clean your chimney regularly. Avoid overloading your electricity sockets, switch off and unplug electrical sockets when not in use.

BINGO
There is Bingo every Monday in Terryglass Community Hall at 8.30pm sharp organised by the Shannon Rovers GAA Club with great money prizes, including an excellent Jackpot of €1,000. Contact Oliver Darcy for further information. The prizes are excellent with €15, €20 and €50 for a line, two lines and a full house respectively. There is a flyer for €150 each week and the full house if the jackpot isn’t won is €100.
Buses are available from the surrounding area,i.e.Nenagh/Ardcroney/Borrisokane/Ballinderry and Ballingarry/Rathcabbin/Lorrha/Carrigahorig/Terryglass. Buses depart at 7pm and for further information contact Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988.

RURAL TRANSPORT
A bus is available to take parishioners from Terryglass, Ballinderry and Coolbawn to the Saturday 7.30pm Mass in Terryglass and departs from Terryglass at 6.50pm.  For further information or to book a place please contact Loretta Tiernan 067 28066 or Mary Tierney 28167
The bus to Nenagh each Thursday departs Paddy’s, Terryglass at 10am, Ballinderry 10.10, Coolbawn (Molamphy’s) 10.20 arriving in Nenagh at 11am. The bus returns from Nenagh at 2.10pm .We urge you to consider availing of these services, which are free to Travel Pass holders. The bus operator is Ken Daly 087 6273177 or 067 21988 or if you require more information on any route please contact Louise 067 27088. A bus travels each Friday from Nenagh via Borrisokane and Ballingarry to Bingo in Birr.
A bus also travels to Borrisokane each Monday departing from Terryglass around 1pm, via Ballinderry, Coolbawn and Carney Commons and arrives at 2pm and departs for home at 4pm. Services are door to door and booking can be made by contacting Ken Daly

CHURCH NEWS
The First Friday is December 7th and Mass will be in Kilbarron at 9am and in Terryglass at 7.30pm proceeded by Adoration and Benediction. Confession is available before both Masses.

LOWER ORMOND ACTIVE RETIREMENT
The annual Christmas Party will take place on Monday 17th December at 1pm in the Church of Ireland Hall, Borrisokane.  The afternoon will commence with a hot drink on arrival followed by a hot meal of either, turkey and ham or salmon with a choice of desserts and the subsidized cost is €10. We are hoping that Santa will be able to pay us a short visit with a gift for all and then it will be time to start an afternoon of music, song and dance with Margaret and Rita and Seanie. Names can be given to any of the following, Jimmy Donnelly, Loretta Tiernan, Phyllis O’Meara, Sam Wilson.
Emma Stanley will be at the club next Monday 10th December to attend to member’s foot care.
